Bleached
cotton linters/cellulose pulp is a long chain polymer made
up of repeating units of glucose. It is derived from raw cotton
linters which contain the highest proportion of cellulose
with minimum amounts of non-cellulosic material as compared
to other source of cellulose like wood pulp.
5 Grades of cotton linter pulp are manufactured
for various applications by Vikarabad Mills :
Grade I : Highly purified linter pulp mainly used for production
of industrial NC & cellulose acetate. Grade II : Cotton
linters with medium viscosity mainly used by Ordance Factories
for production of explosive NC.
Grade
III : Cotton linters with low viscosity with high brightness
for manufacturer of speciality papers like currency paper,
high cotton context paper, filter paper & mosquito mat
boards.
Grade IV : High viscousity linter pulp used
for manufacture of cellulose ethers such as CMC, HEC PAC etc.
Grade V : Unbleached cotton linters for manufacture of blasting
soluble Nitrocellulose.
Detailed specifications of all 5 grades of cellulose pulp
are available on products specification. Apart from the above
5 grades, special grades to meet individual customer requirements
can be made available, depending on the technical & commercial
products specification feasibility of the requisite product.
